Hi everyone.

I've just got a TTG 700, and i've downloaded the camera database into it after backing it up first.

Now i've noticed some extra mobile camera sites along the A3 that are currently missing from the existing database, i've tried getting my TTG to record them but i don't seem to have much joy.

I believe i can't use the POIcapture software as i have the latest software revision (5.420) as it's not compatible with it.

So how can i submit these new positions, particularly as some are in laybys which don't appear on the A3 map. Confused

I can list them here, if its a help.

Sorry for being a pest.

Welcome Wazza_G

No need to apologise, thats what we are all here for, to help each other out. Below is taken from PGPS on the Camera Database page.

Q. How do I submit cameras to the database ?

A. Email us either your OV2 file or ASC file and we will work out which cameras we don't have and which cameras we do have. Please be careful when adding cameras not to add false ones

Welcome Wazza :D
Here's how I store cameras
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=153813#153813

Then to report them, just email the .ov2 file you created to Cameras@PocketGPSWorld.com

Well i've tried to input as many as i can using the remote control on my TTG 700 Embarassed and i've checked the map and they're there new on the map, so hopefully they are as near as they possibly can be, but its tricky doing it without any help and driving safely, especially as some of the laybys they use aren't shown on the map! Sad

I've managed to download the file and with a bit of luck they will be integrated into the database.

New locations are:

A3 Thursley, Surrey: On top of the new overbridge taking southbound traffic into Thursley.

A3 Thursley, Surrey: Approx 0.75 mile beyond the new overbridge on the Southbound Carriageway, in the 1st layby after it.

A3 Canadian War Memorial Planting, Hants: There's a small layby before you drop down to the B2171 Liphook exit, a mobile can be found there fairly regularly.

A3 Longmoor Camp, Hants: On the A325 overbridge, and the next one too.

A3 Petersfield, Hants: Approx 1 mile south of the A272 on slip, layby next to the railway line, just before the Buriton turn.

A3(M) Dell Piece East (B2149): On the overbridges can be on either on of the two as it forms part of a ring.

A248 Chilworth, Surrey: 2 sites, within 0.25 of each other, one is at the bus shelter on the island outside Chilworth Station, the other is at the War Memorial.

A25 Silent Pool, Albury: In one of two laybys (Eastbound) the Dorking side of the A248 turning, to catch cars coming down the dual carriageway towards Dorking.

A246 Epsom Road, Clandon Crossroads: (Westbound) approaching the lights, there's a small group of houses (Glebe Cottages), about 100yds away from lights to catch cars coming down the long straight towards the lights.

Hope this helps.

You could also try using street map or multi map to plot the locations of the cameras and submit the urls so that they can do the rest from there Laughing
