|
|
Been using the 168 for a while now & really like it but, like anything, I want to get the best out of it so do any of you have any tips or tweaks which might make the mio a bit faster.
I got a faster sd card some time back I think it's 45X so I use that card for all my sat nav maps etc & I am getting a 1Gb card for Xmas which is 60x. I mucked about with the Smart Battery settings on the mio & set it to Superior Performance but to be honest I find setting it to Auto is the fastest option as I timed opening Tom Tom 5 on each setting & Auto was the fastest which is odd as I did read here some while back the these setting did nothing at all but they do ?.
So, any more tips or tweaks you can suggest

- Get a task manager like vbar or Wisbar and close programs that may be running in the background
- get Pocket Mechanic to cleanout the registry, reset the soft reset counter, etc
- move all programs to storage card to free up RAM _________________ Lutz
