iCN 620 maps - will they workon 610 ?

I have recently purchased the iCN610 with uk maps,
I could do with the French maps which NAVMAN will sell me the key for £79 but at the moment they are selling maps for the 620 @ only at £29 ! i dont mind paying the latter, has anyone tried the 620 maps on another model ? There is some one selling the 620 version maps on EBAY saying they will work on any iCN600 series!
But im not so sure ....

yes it is quite specfic about that, does any know a more econmical way of getting french map on my 610 ?

(looks like im going to need to buy a 512 meg sd card as well - DOH !)

Well I do actually have the V3 maps for europe for my 610 (they were in the box with the unit) i have also managed to install the base maps for europe (which will help a bit) with the aid of a larger memery card.

So a different question, if i was to buy the 620 maps from Navman will the unlock key work with my disc set ?? Any one tried ?

A question about your question? As you will have to aquire an sd card will you have to buy a navman card or a generic card at a much reduced cost. I have got the Euro maps on a standard sd card that cost £37 in total but they aren't recognised by the 610 and just show the areas in red.
A friend has tried the card in his 510 and it works fine. so just for curiositys sake I tried his 510 64meg uk map in my 610 and that works fine.
