|
|
Ive just downloaded the full 24 file camera database.
Ive got a MDA Vario running Tom Tom Navigator 5.
Now problem with download and all 24 files are on the storage card.
My problem is when I have checked on Manage POI in tom tom I am missing Mobile cameras from 20mph to 40mph. I do have all of the unconfirmed camera listed as well as all the Gatso files ect.
Is the missing POIs because of the POI limit on TT5?
Will I have to delete some of the Unconfirmed Mobile Sites to enable the Confirmed Mobile Sites to re-appear??
If this is the case could we have a extra download catagory of all files but excluding the unconfirmed mobile sites.
Many thanks _________________ Tom Tom One Series 30 with TMC

Check the number of ov2 files in the map folder on the memory card, your limit with version 5 software is 39 Custom POI's - if you have exceeded this level you will need to remove some of the POI's to make the missing ones show up. - Mike |

yes, I think this is the problem. I am now deleting some of the unconfirmed mobile sites to allow the confirmed mobile sites to show. Its just a pain to have to do this now each time I do a download.
Another idea would be to all a seperate catagory of a single file for all the unconfirmed mobile sites, nstead of having 20mph, 30mph, 40mph etc. etc.......
That would mean I would have enough space for the proper 24 confirmed speed camera sites and then I would only use up one another POI space for ALL the other unconfirmed mobile sites.
How does this sound?? _________________ Tom Tom One Series 30 with TMC

I too would prefer that the "main" download was just the normal 24 categories and that any release of the unconfirmed sites should be an extra seperate download. This would stop the vast majority who just "want it like it was last time" having to muck around, and those that do want them can do the extra work.
How about it MaFt?
However, adventurer, as PGPSW were forced into releasing the unconfirmed mobile files against all their instincts anyway, I think asking them to provide them in a variety of formats as welll might not go down too well!!
You can always combine them yourself with POIEdit. |

Download the .gdb file.
Extract the two main databases.
The pMOBILE database is already one complete unit.
Can't that be manipulated in seconds with POI conversion software to your required format?
I'm not an expert but just an idea! |

Now why didn't I think of that!
Would still think there will be less distress if it were done as a separate download though. |
