HI, can anyone tell me how the auto alert feature works in D3? I dont seem to be able to add any items to the auto alert category, the manual doesnt give instructions on how to add items you want to set alerts for. thanks

To Ibendlin:With Destinator 3.0.75 we can add categories but we can't add itens.
Please if we can tell us how.
If we do:
Destinate - Favorites - Auto Alert 1 - Items ----If Auto Alert 1 is empty then Tools is not available. If we have some item in Auto Alert 1 then for each item in Tools we have Edit, Delete and set as origin.
The same if we have DTweak.
I don't know how to add some point.(If some one say go to -9.15230,38.0000 I have to made a txt file.

To Efjay: so far I made a txt or csv file with this format: NAME,COMMENT,LONGITUDE,LATITUDE (you can ommite comment)
ex:Cityname,,-9.15230,38.0000
Then you have to use destinator console to convert and import.

Ok, here is how:

- Tap the place on the map that you want to add
- tap "Favorites'
- enter a name for it, and then select the category as either Auto Alert 1 or Auto Alert 2

You can always move favourite items between categories, so you can select if you want to alerted about a certain item or not.

Ok, of course we can do this - not a easy way to do that.
What it was in my mind is to add a point - Latitude and longitude -this is missing.

For that you can use the console - as you described earlier.

But you are right, Destinator does not allow to navigate to Lat/Lon.

thanks lutz i figured that out as well but i would like to be able to add whole poi categories eg atm's or restaurants which would be useful in an area you are not familiar with as opposed to selecting particular points on a map

You can send an enhancement request to HSTC.

I guess they only had safety cameras in mind when they created the alert feature.
