Hi,
I've had an iPAQ 4150 and CoPilot Live 5 with BlueTooth GPS for a few months and I've been happy with it.
However, last night all the roads have vanished off my map - I'm in Manchester UK, and it is as if the whole city has become a giant field! Some of the major place names are shown (Fallowfield, Didsbury, etc.).
I've tried a repair install, uninstaling it, reinstalling it about six or seven times, but I still get the same problem.
Any ideas? 8O |

I've now been through several further cycles of reinstalling, including a hard reset of the iPAQ, and a reformat of the storage card.
The roads have still disappeared. I have also noticed that when I try to search for an address, the words "no street level data" appear under <City Center> |

When you pan and zoom out do you see road data of other cities ? The only thing I can think of is that there is a corruption on your SD card. Perhaps putting your SD card into a storage card reader and letting Scandisk do a check to see if there are any lost clusters or bad CRC's ? |

It looks as though it was a problem with the SD card... Reformatting in the iPAQ had no effect, but reformatting from a USB card reader connected to my pc seems to have worked.
But now I have another problem - I will start another thread...
Thanks,
Darren.
Posting one's an iPAQ via BlueTooth phone. |
