TomTom chosen by Dutch National Road Authority

TomTom has announced that the Dutch National Road Authority, the Rijkswaterstaat, has selected them to collaborate with the National Traffic Innovation Centre, in partnership with Simacan.

The Traffic Innovation Centre, was setup to experiment with and develop traffic management and smarter mobility. TomTom Traffic will help the centre to capture and act on traffic flow. Simacan is a traffic and logistics IT specialist and they will work together to develop applications and improvements in traffic flow through better use of technology and available infrastructure.

Hardly surprising considering TT is a dutch firm.
