Hot on the heels of ALK's announcement of CoPilot Live HD for iPad 3G in the US comes news of the Europe version.

ALK confirmed this morning that CoPilot Live HDT Europe has been submitted to Apple for approval.

The app takes full advantage of the iPad 3G's high resolution screen and will be available as standard with a single region map. An upgrade to the full European map will be available as an in-app purchase.

The feature list is as you would expect with 2D/3D views, voice guidance etc but the iPad version adds a new split-screen view.

Once approved the app will be available in the Appstore for £25.99 (single region). The in-app upgrade to full European maps will be £37.99.

Whilst this won't be a practical option for most car owners, with the availability of in-car mounting solutions from Brodit (reviews to follow) it would make an excellent option for delivery drivers, HGV's, motorhomes etc.
