Are you trying "Other CSV" (near the bottom of the drop down list)?

Excel is probably set up on your PC to open csv files by default, so that's not necessarily the problem.

I've just downloaded that version and opened it in Notepad and the format is:
-2.17787,50.68305,"GATSO:1@40" which looks right apart from the quotation marks around the name.

Maybe it doesn't like the first line, which says:
;Longitude,Latitude,Name
Try just opening the file you've got in Notepad and deleting that line then resaving (with a .txt extension).

-2.17787,50.68304,gatso@40

the downloaded cvs file is

-2.17787,50.68304,GATSO:1@40

small differance but it wont take it

If you know anyone with Excel Macro skills I would think it could be used to change the format to the one required ?

Sorry, I must be going blind! Don't know how I missed the extra punctuation that you don't want.

But... as this is just a text file, you should be able to open it in any word processor, do a few "find and replace-es" for the bits you want to change or remove and then resave as text. (You might have to change the extension back to .csv again at the end).

Also, in your examples you have TWO different formats... Do you need to lose the camera ID number or not? You only seem to have put them on for the pMobiles, when in fact every camera entry will have one.

If the ID number can be part of the text, all you need to lose is the ":".
In other words if you are allowed "gatso" or "Redlight" then you should be allowed "gatso1" or "Redlight5678"
That will be easy to do in Word or whatever. Just FIND ":" and REPLACE with nothing.

(Edit: I've just checked - Excel's "find and replace" works in just the same way if you want to use that instead).

If you send me the file you want converting I will strip out the bits not required using some Labview code on the PC before sending it back, my e-mail button can be used for this purpose. It has to be your original file though as each download is unique. Out of interest what application is it you are using on the n95 for the warnings - Mike

If we can demonstrate sufficient demand for a version to suit this app we can look at creating one, so if anyone else is using our data on this app or you know of them, post here and we can gauge interest.

Will do, it's 'available' now but needs a tiny bit of twiddling. You need to find/replace the quotes in the .csv file. Takes a few seconds to do and is very straightforward.

I'm happy to do this for you if you want to get going sooner but if not, we will seriously look at adding this as a new format.
