News: Garmin's Overlander All terrain Sat-Nav Now Available
Garmin's Overlander, a rugged all-terrain sat-nav that was first unveiled back in May, is now available to purchase.
Firmly aimed at those planning a serious road trip or overland expedition, Overlander comes with preloaded street maps and turn by turn directions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa plus top map data for the same regions for off-road navigation.
A comprehensive POI package includes campsites and wild campgrounds POIs, ACSI, Campercontact, Trailer's PARK and iOverlander information. In addition, support for pairing with inReach Satellite Communications is provided and an integrated pitch and roll display is available alongside a compass, barometer and altimeter.
The 7" TFT display has a resolution of 1024 x 800 and supports multi-touch. The powered magnetic mount comes with both a suction mount and a RAM ball-mount adapter and the package has a RRP of £599.99.
