Average speed cameras are due to be deployed along the M27 this month to monitor the roadworks on the new smart motorway scheme.

The devices will track the speed of motorists over a distance in order to protect the workforce.

All that flout the speed limit should expect a £100 fine and a minimum of 3 points on their licence.
