EGNOS Update

ESA have published an update to EGNOS on 9th November.

EGNOS (currently ESTB) was supposed to have gone live in April this year. Continuing delays and constant communication with ESA has suggested imminent release, but now in the updated article ESA (European Space Agency) are quoting a 2005 release date. This isn't good for EGNOS.

Quote from ESA Website... "EGNOS will start operations in 2005 for the general public while it is planned to have the signal certified for safety-of-life use in 2006."

The ESA website article is located here.
