News: A9 average speed cameras on hold until October

pocketgpsworld.com
The average speed cameras that were planned for Scotland's A9 have been put on the back burner until October.

Originally, the first cameras, part of a £2.5 million system, were due for installation early this year with completion expected in the summer.

It has also been reported that, due to technical difficulties, the cameras will not cover dual carriageway sections north of Perth as previously proposed - mobile police units will continue to cover that stretch. It was previously planned to cover the full distance between Dunblane and Inverness, a total of 136 miles.
