TomTom Navigator GPS v2.09 Released

TomTom have done it once again and quietly released v2.09 of their Navigator GPS driver without any forewarning or announcement on their homepage. v2.08 introduced more problems than it cured and prevented GPS applications other than TomTom Navigator from accessing the BT GPS Com Port. TomTom list the following changes in v2.09:

  • Support for new devices - O2 XDA-2, T-Mobile MDA-II, Qtek2020, Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox 610, Mitac Mio DigiWalker, HP iPAQ 4150.
  • iPAQ Bluetooth Browser only appears once.
  • No hard reset required for iPAQ 1940.
  • Plug and play bluetooth bonding for iPAQ's running Windows Mobile 2003.

Naturally we shall be evaluating this new release to see if it has any of the problems that v2.08 had but in the meantime if you want to test it download it directly here.
