News: Samsung sign up Navteq to provide mapping for GPS phones

pocketgpsworld.comNavteq has signed an agreement with Samsung to provide mapping for their handsets.

Samsung, the world's second largest mobile phone manufacturer, will have access to all the countries and territories covered by Navteq together with the associated add-ons such as 3D buildings, lane data and speed limit information.

The first handset to feature the new map data will be the i8910, a feature packed device that offers HD video recording and a 3.7" OLED screen as well as the GPS navigation.
