Is it possible to plot a 5 mile route on Basecamp from My House and back again. Will I be able to get turn warnings/instructions. Will it be a problem returning to same as start point.
So far my walks have been plotted as a track and I just check the map to make sure I am on the right path. Is this how most people use theirs.
Confused slightly, please help.
Thanks. Confused

Yes you can plot a route on BC and send it to your Etrex, just like you can a track. Whether you will get instructions depends on whether the map you're using both in BC and your Etrex are routeable, but note even if they are they may not route you the way you wish to go. I always create my walking routes in BC using Direct activity and then set routing on my Etrex to off road, that way you get the route you created and you simply follow that.

Thanks Sussamb for quick response, amazing.
I will try this out first thing tomorrow.
Last time I tried a circular route, the route ended quickly due to arriving at final destination 10 yards away ??

Is it ok to use maps from talkytoaster ?

Cheers

Well you will need to split the start and finish slightly and ensure you're closer to the start when you hit Go.

As for TT maps the free ones are ok but I wouldn't pay for his other ones as there are lots of free ones out there.
