Ok guys,
Let me start by wishing all at pgps a very happy Christmas and prosperous new year.
For Christmas bought my daughter a garmin drive assist 50, my question is will it work with the pgps if I buy her a sub?
The reason I am asking is, as far as I can tell it does not have a media player and the audible alerts on my Zumo are mp3 based.
Always worked great on my old zumo as it does on my new 595.
All help greatly appreciated. |

Yes it will but it will use the WAV not MP3 voices.
Then you have 2 choices.
1) Vanilla CSV (check my spoon feed thread)
2) The CSV Converter utility. _________________ Satnav:

If you look at the threads K mentioned you'll find the answer, but you basically use POI loader to create a file to install to your Garmin. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way.

I would use GarminPOI, Speed Zoned complete, then make the decision of raw CSV that forces a 36 second advance warning and sometimes duplicate alerts.
or, download my CSV to GPX Converter that helps reduce some duplicates and allows you to customise the alert distance and add another alert if you're still speeding when you get closer.
