I seem to be having problems with Tomtom 2 when I add my ov2 files. All of a sudden it tells me either tomtom has caused an error (and wont even start) or it tells me it has lost where the data is and I need to re-install Sad

Anyone know why this happens or what I can do to fix it? I tried one re-install and all seemed fine, until I put some ov2 files back in Sad

Where are you placing the OV2 and BMP files, in with the map data?

Yup, in with the map data, on the CF card that goes into the Navman sleeve.

(Where's the edit button gone?)

The other thing, even if I take the ov2 files back out, I still get it telling be it cannot determine the location of the data Rolling Eyes

Had this on my original XDA, was caused by one or more OV2 files or the associated BMP files being corrupt.

Does Tomtom 3 use ov2 files too? Is there a chance I have some tomtom3 ov2's downloaded by POIEdit?

Also, is there any known way around having to re-install the maps each time, as thats quite a PITA Sad

Excellent, thanks xda, it appears I must have made a POI symbol that was giving Tom tom some problems. Rolling Eyes

Now I just need to know how to make symbols that don't crash it ;)
