I've only converted the top line of the CSV - and one in Northwood, the nearest to me for testing.
You can only have 4 columns.
1) Lat
2) Long
3) Main Heading Description for Nav
4) All other details seperated by a HTML BR line feed. (I can't post HTML tags but the file is obvious)
End result:
No BMP:
My 22x22 BMP:
On the Garmin "Where To" - "Custom POI's" - "Bowls"
Moving forward ......
I assume you will get updated VCF files with new or removed clubs somewhere within.
You are going to have to manually enter the details into your existing CSV file.
To identify the VCF changes, download a program called KDiff:
This is a superb program that can identify changes to files. It can identify changes hidden deep within a file and only highlight those changes, even when other data around it isn't now on the same file line.
I use it a lot. _________________ Satnav:

Hi trapper. (Any reference to M.A.S.H. here?)
Ignore my post about truncation. My error
I have had a chat with Kremmen this morning about this.
I can easily create an excel macro that re-orders the your .csv data into that required (I've done it before recently) and give you a copy (of the .csv and the macro), but what might be better is that if we could cut out the middle man (your .csv file) and go directly from the source .vcf file(s) to the modified .csv.
I haven't a clue what a .vcf file looks like. Can it/they be loaded into Excel?
Upload it/them and post the link.
Kremmen, thanks for the new csv file and the icon,
You say I can only have 4 columns but there are 6 shown?

Link as above.
I know roughly what a macro does (Sort of automated instruction I think) but it may be beyond my capabilities Won't know until I try but my motto is KIS or Keep it Simple!
If your suggestion is simple that would be great.

You can have as many columns in your Excel file as you like but POILoader will only read the first 4.
I left it at 6 columns but blanked out the data for the 2 clubs I amended.
This means you can put your reference data in cols 5+ in the knowledge that Garmin will ignore it. _________________ Satnav:

Gentlemen. I am ever so pleased you like a challenge.....
My user name has nothing to do with M.A.S.H, more to do with trapping wind - I am of course referring to sailing and sails!! Long story......

I am not familiar with vcf files. Does it provide a separate vcf file for each individual club? If so, how dis you generate the csv file from them?
I use the vcf files in my Skoda with it's satnav system. I do the Excel spreadsheet using any details I can find, by hand. Then add the Geo info from the vcf or the website as above. I saved this .xls file as a csv file and then tried to import it into POILoader, hence my thread here when it all went a bit wrong.

If we can get it workred out, I will write the macros for you.
That would be very handy.

The full story is KISS. Keep it simple stupid.
Yeah, but I did not want you to think I was referring to either of you

I print the club details list in A4 Landscape, with a copy on the right so two copies on one page. I cut it in half so have two copies of A5 for our members. I would think I can still use the csv file with the first two columns hidden. Does it matter to Garmin if these are hidden or not? I can of course unhide them if needed.

Yes it does.
Garmin will use the first 4 columns. ABCD. _________________ Satnav:

Hi
Kremmen.
Okay, for the satnav I will use the first 4 columns, Lat & Long, Club Name and Post Code. So the actual address will not form part of the Garmin satnav information.
M8TJT.
Correct.
For my car I can include all the details except the phone number on my Skoda satnav as shown on my vcf link and an earlier post on page 1:
Club name. address, and post code plus the geo location. Not bothered about the phone numbers, they are only for use if someone gets totally lost or will not arrive in time. However for the printed info they could come in useful.

I am not sure what your macro would do, and using KISS logic I think that I could use the Skoda Destination Portal (As previous link) for my car. Then if you can originate a macro to convert the vcf file so that the Garmin unit will work with it as a csv file that would be fab.
I can easily make any changes to the printed list manually. Having had a look at the changes to the new cvf file using only the 4 columns and the address printed as;
19 Langley Rd Access via alley at side of Scouts HQ Hall ?BR? WD5 0EH ?BR? 01923 269086 - May (Okay, will) confuse some of our members.
Do you think this would be a simpler way to end up with what I need?
Ohps, when attempting to preview this post the message appeared that HTML tags are not permitted, I guess they are the < entries that I have now changed to ? and added spaces. Seemed happy that way

No. You keep your 'master list' exactly as it is at the mo. My macro copies the data from in into a new sheet, doing all the swapping about etc and sticking in the ?BR? stuff then saving the new sheet as a .csv. Then all you have to do is point POILoader at the new csv and job done.
I'm not sure whether I can take multiple vcf files and get them into Excel.
Excel 2010, just what I am running.
As I have said before, I am totally ignorant about vcf files. Is the vcf file(s) a single file with multiple club data or multiple files with just one club data?
If it's a single file with all the data, please upload it so that I can have a look.

Trapper
Your question re 'no address info' ...... you obviously haven't seen my post with the pictures and looked at the 2 CSV lines I amended for Northwood and Abbots Langley as examples.
Everything you need to do to get this working 100% is in those 2 lines in the CSV still available for download from my Dropbox.
Until M provides a Macro, all you need to do is amend all the other lines to put the postcode and phone number into column 4 alongside the address, seperated by BR markers and you're good to go. _________________ Satnav:
