Wasn't sure to post this in TT, Beginers or iPAQ forums. As TT3 is my application I chose here. Confused

I'm after a 1GB CF card so I can store ALL the TT3 UK and Europe files on one card. SD cards are still more expensive so i'm looking at a CF card. I already use a 512 SD card, no real issues other than my own impatience.

Is the read or the write speed the issue in using TT3?
Or is the formatting of the card fat, fat32 etc the issue?

i can live with the hours of download time but its the day to day use that is important to me.

I'm, looking at getting a 1gb CF card, posibly a Kingston CF/1024 and at less than £95, seems good value. There is also 'faster cards, 24x 40x Ultra etc.... but these are more expensive. BTW, the read speed for the Kingston cards is the same for both types. 6.1MB/sec. But the write speeds 1.5 and 5.2 MB/sec respectively.

Doing comparrisons isn't easy as most manufacturers hide this info away or represent this in a different format. Confused

So any 'good \ bad' feed back or 'I wish i'd done that' advce appreciated.

Thanks

I use a 512Mb Kingston CF card and find it to be fine.

I don't have any of the problems that seem to affect SD card users.

In fact one of the main reasons that I chose the iPaq 2210 was so I had both SD and CF slots.
