I had one and the answer is yes. However, I then moved to Garmin as they had improved their traffic system.
PS I am not Anita except on some Saturday nights. |

Yes, it serves my purposes very well and, as well as being a good basic satnav, the bluetooth makes it useful as a handsfree, and even for reading text messages aloud from my Galaxy S6, a feature I thought TT had abandoned long ago.
The instructions for two different methods of installing the PGPSW cameras are here and here.
I've never had a problem with the first of these methods, using the TomTom OV2 download. After installing all of the files the first time I only select the OV2 files for subsequent installations. I've never tried the second method, using the TomTom (myTomTom Zip) download.
Good luck with the VIA 135. I hope you find it suits you. When mine gives up the ghost I'll probably buy another TomTom for navigation and use CamerAlert on my phone for camera warnings. Not a perfect solution but I really don't want to switch to a Garmin. _________________ Anita

Keep them both if you are going to continue using your 300. And I recommend you have separate email registration for both devices (I think you've already decided that, good).
Home will only work with the 300.
MyDrive will only work with the 135.
They will not interfere with each other (I have both on my computer). _________________ Dennis

You just need MyDrive for the VIA 135 and, unless TT have made recent changes, you need a new email address for a new device. If you only have one email you can contact them to register the new device to the old email, but then you can't update your old device, should you want to.
Edit: Beaten to it by Dennis - again! _________________ Anita

TT HAVE made a change, Anita. It seems they have now allowed registration of more than one device in MyDrive. I don't know if it only applies to MyDrive compatible devices. But I continue with my separate email registrations - it makes me feel loved when they send me 17 emails about whatever they send emails about! _________________ Dennis

I don't know how you'd know I'd know.
Anyway, you are beginning to tempt me to buy a 135. I wonder if there's an equivalent that does Live? _________________ Dennis

I knew you'd know because I've known you a long time, Dennis!
I don't think there was a Live version. I thought it was only the Start 25 and the VIA 135 in that release. I'm quite familiar with the Start as my sister has one (and calls on me when she needs help which is most of the time) and as far as I can tell the only difference is bluetooth.
But do check. _________________ Anita

If I get one, will it be as good as my GO520 which is starting to falter (even though I have map update subscription to May 2019)? _________________ Dennis

No, it won't be as good as your 520. My biggest gripe, of course, is no file access, and the second is no itinerary planning, only three (or is it four?) waypoints. I really can't remember now what other features are missing, but it was the best available model at the time and I have no regrets.
I stupidly gave my 720 (won on here in 2007 if you remember) to my daughter-in-law as it was also "starting to falter" and I think she's disposed of it. _________________ Anita

There are three features on the 520 which I like.
1. Route planning A to B. That shows me a summary map for total distance (to quote a delivery price for somebody) which I can also consult any time I like during a journey and "Find destination" to zoom in and wonder about the last few yards to get there.
2. Bluetooth allows me to use a bluetooth remote control. I don't suppose you know about that, so it would be a case of buy it and try.
3. It's not bothered by the dreadful slowness of a Live device when first calculating a route, so it does it fast.
I suspect it hasn't got the stupid active screen touch stuff, just works nicely with a finger or the rubber end of a pencil. I wonder, does the Europe map (45 countries) cover Greece? _________________ Dennis
