Four speed cameras were reported as damaged by fire on Tuesday on the Hafeet-Dhank highway, Oman.

Four people have been arrested and The Royal Oman Police say that they have received confessions to the charges.

They also said that "devices similar to speed cameras" which had previously been stolen, were found in the possession of the accused.

One can only assume that the perpetrators mistook traffic monitoring cameras, or similar, to speed cameras.
