Make back-up copy onto computer

Due to a problem I have encountered since installing the latest map on my GGO1005, Tomtom has advised me to do a factory reset. My understanding is that in doing so I would lose all my settings, and more importantly my Favourites. Is there any way of making a backup on my computer?
