Got a small update last night (9/6/15) and found a new unannounced feature today.
On a drive over the same route I followed last week the Sat nav displayed the traffic information and time to the previous destination (not the last destination). Returning home the top line now displayed Home, eta, and traffic. In neither case had I set a destination.
Spooky.
My tentative conclusion is that it identifies the destination as lying on the previous history route and assumes that is the destination.
It is actually very useful; how often have you wanted a time of arrival but not needed route directions? |

My 2597 did that as well. It is a published feature, the name of which escapes me.
It seemed to know where you were going and without plotting the route in advance it would show you the stats.
Very useful traffic wise because it showed you the issues for the whole of your route.
As you say, useful because you get all the info but no constant directions.
Snag - go anywhere else and when you set off it doesn't know which destination you are going to so it's back to square one. _________________ DashCam:

Thanks all, just never seen that feature before. I am currently using the inbuilt car GPS and Garmin as Garmin has more features that I like but the car one displays simple instructions on the speed meter. |
