I have a Nuvi 1690 which when it alerts me to a PGPSW camera it puts a grey bar in the top third of the map completely obstructing the camera icon on the map until I get considerably closer to it, annoying behaviour. I am considering a new 2x99 series Garmin. Do they do the same or is their warning outside the map area. |

The newer nuvis place the warning off the normal map area and in the banner at the top of the map where you see the detail about street name you're turning onto, what turn to take etc etc _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I'm only on a flying visit on a tablet so I can't do a link but I'm sure I've posted a screenshot of my 2599 (or could have been my 2597) and a camera alert.
As above, it's certainly nowhere near a third now. _________________ DashCam:
