Hi

Downloaded the shell stations POI, but it shows the nearest one as being 30 miles away from me, when there are at least two within 1 mile, and another two I know of near my office about 20 miles away (and many more I'm sure)

How up to date is this, and is it only for a certain area? Is there a better one I should use to have more coverage? The tomtom generic petrol station one picks up my locals, but I want to know only shell ones to get my fix of optimax.

thanks,

Hi All... first post for me. :D

I'm also an optimax user and get frustrated when I can't find a Shell station.

Out of interest, why don't companies supply POI files for their businesses. It doesn't take a genius to work out that it will increase their sales!

But, being new, I'm sure there's a really obvious reason and I haven't seen it yet! Embarassed

In the meantime, I've written an email to Shell to ask if they will supply a file and have pointed them to the website in case they don't know what GPS, POI's, etc are all about.

Fingers crossed.... Wink

Cheers,
G.

Oh, just tried the 'NW_consolidated' shell POI, and that seems to have my nearby ones. Avoided it before, assuming it was for the northwest only, but not so it seems.
