I'm just at my wits end with TomTom traffic (iPhone) it's just the most useless app ever? I'm just so fed up of it failing to dodge traffic and giving me green cars before driving me into a closed road for an event or a ton of traffic. This is mainly in London it has to be said but it's just not good enough?
I've tried Waze and that's just as bad and I can't believe that in 2014 there isn't a working traffic avoidance system (hardware or app).
Can somebody PLEASE help me! Surely there must be a system that actually works? If I have to sit in any more traffic I'm gonna turn to LSD or other hard drugs????!!!!!!
I don't care how much it costs I just want to avoid closed roads and traffic haha
Yours, a 40k+ driver about to end it on a cliff! |

Give Inrix a shot. It's a free app so nothing lost if it doesn't work. _________________ DashCam:

Hey, thanks for replying.
Funny you should say that, I did download it last night, but I can't for the life of me see how I could use it to get to A to B? Any idea how it can be used in practice? You can check the traffic route before leaving, and what - key that route into your Sat Nav? Then if it changes traffic, stop and key another route into your Sat Nav?
Looks a great app,
As I see, you'd
1) Check Inrix for traffic problems
2) Set your Sat Nav route to avoid it
3) Run Inrix in the background
4) Rely on the updates coming through from Inrix in the background and then change route accordingly?
I can't believe nobody has built a sat nav that uses Inrix? Unbelievable! |

So the best solution for me - if I find a bank to rob, is to take a punt on moving from Tom Tom HD Traffic app to Garmin? (IOS) |

I can only comment on a Garmin SatNav unit. My 2597LMT traffic is bang on and that is using it against the ever changing conditions in the Heathrow and M25 western area.
How it would perform on a Smartphone I don't know. _________________ DashCam:

You don't need traffic warnings for that between 0500 and 2100 it going to be between 0 and 10 mph in each direction coz some moron has just run up the back of another vehicle whilst trying to adjust their satnav.
