Did you try the master reset? If it's still doing it after that then I'm not sure why, as I'm running 4.30 and 2014.40 maps and I'm not being taken up Burgh Hill
Edit: Light bulb moment. Do you have trafficTrends switched on? If so try with it off. I run with it off all the time as that I know can produce unexpected results. Your model also has myTrends (mine doesn't). You might want to switch that off too ... if you've driven that way a couple of times it may think that's the way you want to go.
I did the master reset but haven't been that way since. I might make a detour to see if that works. I have only driven up that road once when there was an accident but wasn't using the satnav at the time.
If it hasn't done anything, I'll try traffic trends etc.

I run tomtom and garmin units, and the tomtom has always been best - for me - in routing - almost every time
The 4.30 updates does indeed give much more tomtom-like routing - which for me is better - and indeed more likely to be motorway and A roads than lanes in my experience _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

I refer you to my previous post

Routing I feel is always a moot point. Folks expect their satnav to take them the way they think is best, forgetting that what some might think 'best' others might not. TT and Garmin both have their critics on routing but at the end of the day they are a driver aid and don't have to be slavishly followed.

I think what I was saying is that now the routes are near identical in my tests over the past few weeks - which is a GOOD thing! _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600
