I seem to have lost my settings option...I've deleted and reinstalled the App a couple of times...the lady keeps telling me to download the latest version...but without the settings button, I can't even exit the App, so to stop it I have to delete the App. Any ideas please ? (When I reload, I get a map of London showing ?) |

I'm guessing here but I would be inclined to delete the app via the GooglePlay web site on my computer . Once deletion is confirmed Web page & phone) I would then delete the cashe on my phone (using an app such as Android Assistant -free) and then reload the CA app, again via GooglePlay website. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Thanks for that, I'm going to try it.
I've gone onto 'MyApps' page, ( never realised I had so many, most not needed !), but, a real stupid question, where's the option to permanently delete those not needed, including CamerAlert ?
According to Google there should be a trash option by each app, but doesn't show using my PC. Thanks. |

Using your Android device go to Google Play / My Apps / ALL - there should be an X by each entry to remove them from 'My Apps'
edit.
Looking at 'My Apps / All' there's an X by some apps and not others, but I don't know why! At one time it was possible to delete any old or installed app from your Play account but it seems that things may have changed?? _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

There will probably be apps that are installed as part of your device's version of android. these can't be deleted.
What phone is it?
Quite often you will need to tap and hold the 'home' button in order to get the app's menu to show up.
Not all phones have menu button's these days...

Main phone settings
scroll down to and tap 'Display, gestures & buttons'
Look for the sub-heading of 'BUTTONS'
then tap on 'Home'
The 2 options you then have are:
1: 'Swipe up or press and hold for Google Now'
and
2: 'Swipe up for Google Now, press and hold for menu'
Selecting 1 will give you the on screen menu button(s)
Selecting 2 will mean you need to press ad hold the home button (to the right of the HTC logo) to bring up the in-app menu.
