New Mitsubishi ASX with in dash Kenwood DNX5260BT sat nav system. Downloaded the latest speedcams database appropriate for the system and installed to micro SD card using Garmin POI loader. Followed the instructions as given on Pocket GPS World to the letter. After installing to the SD card, I have a Garmin folder and POI folder which has one file.
I have put the SD card in my sat nav system and the Proximity Points/Alerts are now displayed. Remove the SD card and these options disappear as well. Now with my SD card installed in the sat nav, there are no options of getting these from the card to the sat nav, and the alerts do not work with the card installed in the slot.
To see what custon POI's are installed I need to go through the menus Where To/Extras/ Custom Points of Interest, the list is blank, i.e. nothing showing.
I have read other threads on this, but I don't think anyone has managed to get the speedcams working with this satnav system. If anyone has got them to work, would you mind sharing or if anyone can advise what I'm doing wrong, it would be very much appreciated. |

I don't think that I can help, just comment.
I have a Kenwood DNX-4210DAB which has no SD card slot. I have installed the PGPSW database on my system via the USB connection.
Today I was browsing around the Kenwood/Garmin sites and inadvertently clicked on the wrong device. This talked about map updates on SD cards (no use to me) but it stated that if you download a map to an SD card the card has to remain in the SD slot in the car satnav for the map to work.

It would be good if you would post what's wrong with the instructions, or what you did wrong so that the instructions can be corrected or so that others might not have the same problem  |
