Hi, and thanks for the input it is much appreciated,
so this might seem a bit labour intensive but each time I download the new files/ database from the site I put them in its own folder then unzip it to an new folder within that folder. I then point the Garmin POI loader to the unzipped folder and let it install. I never put the unzipped new file in an old folder for loading, so can't see how old files/ data base ( some of which are still on the computer) can be being loaded as well.
The alerts I get are that I am travelling above the speed limit, constant bong, bong, bong ( drives us mad) which was 50mph through the roadworks and covered by spec camera, they were removed long ago and 70mph re instated.
I will remove all the old folder / files next time I update but can't see how it will help.
Will also look at the map you mention and see whats happening there.
Thanks again, am sure we will get to the bottom of this one way or the other without binning the sat nav out of frustration.
Best wishes
Rob

If you use POILoader and ensure that you always use the same name for the GPI file then it will prompt you to overwrite the existing file.

I always use PGPSW for example and therefore never have to remove the old file first.

Have you switched off the Garmin (Cyclops) Cameras?

What does the alert say exactly??
