I had previously installed the custom voices from this site and they worked very well.
However, after doing a map update and switching to the map of France for our holiday I find that when back in the UK the voice warnings are missing.

All I get now is an audible signal to warn of the speed camera. Be grateful for any advice.

Sorry you've had no reply to this one yet, I'm pretty sure I wrote a reply myself, but obviously I got distracted and closed the forum or my browser without actually sending it.

If all the files are in the correct place and the warn when near set-up was done correctly, then it SHOULD still all work OK after swapping back to the original map.

What happens if you go through the "warn when near" set up again? Try it with just one camera type first and then check by setting up a demo rout e past one of that type of camera.

(Remembering that if the audio files have the same names as the POI data files, as is normally the case, then when you go through the warning setup you either get asked "Is this the sound you want to use" even though you haven't selected one or heard it (on NAV2 models) or it just skips to the next screen without ever asking about which sound effect to use (NAV3 models like the Start 25)).

If that doesn't fix it, use MyTomTom to remove all the files in the POI section (one at a time I'm afraid!) and reinstall them and THEN do the warn when near" setup again.

Thanks for reply Andy.
I just had a go at doing the"warn when near" thing again for the 30mph fixed camera poi and noticed that suddenly the "sound" symbol appeared next to the poi.
I tested it as per the installation instructions and the warning voice worked! I'll now spend some time working my way through all the rest.

Many thanks again but I'd still like to know why it went wrong in the first place.
Probably never will know but alls well.......etc. Thumbs Up
