I have a Garmin Nuvi 1690 with has NuLink services as a subscription service. Because I use the unit infrequently I grudge paying £45 per year for a service I would rarely use. My question is, is there an alternative to NuLink either by inserting my own PAYG sim card or another method by way of a program or suchlike on an SD card that I could insert into the unit?
