| when I,m driving and using the CamerAlert on my HTC 1 the maps completely vanish from the screen just leaving the directional arrow,the maps seem to come and go intermittently. |

check the settings, there is one to display compass when stationary, or something like that

What's your data connection like? Could you be losing your data signal?
