New Maps please help

I have a 1005 I have just installed the new map and it now it says it can not use this map. This is the wrong map for this device is there a way to roll it back?

Settings/Me and my device/about my device.

I cant check now. I had a look at tomtom forums and it's not just me, I will try the UK map see if that work as I also have it on my account.

Hi, I have just had same troubles and managed a fix. please see my earlier post.

Basically what I did:

connected to computer, hold power button until it restarts with drums, keep held in until black configuration screen appears

next, press power button 3 times (fast, within a second)
A cog will appear, then some folder, computer screen etc..

leave this on, connected to mytomtom, it will no doubt suggest reinstall of main software. I did this but it did not help....

do the same process again, and it deleted the map, mytomtom asked me to install software and map.

Yes, I have done this and it works as long as I only install UK and NI which I still have on this account but I bought a new device with life time Europe maps that don’t work, It's as if the Europe map is corrupted in some way.

my device is new with life time updates, but I only have Europe maps on there.
Once I had done this procedure it failed to download & install Europe map twice, third time it worked for me.

hope you get help, so annoying this mytomtom vs the tom tom home I used to use, able to physically see the files.
