I'm looking at getting the Live 825 and have a Go730 which the other half is taking but I have the traffic adaptor across the windscreen which works great (unless leaving Blackpool)
After looking round web today I've seen a pic of a aerial that turn upright on the back of the 825 is this correct?
If I didn't renew the live £48 a year would it fall back to this option or would I need another adaptor or pinch it back Laughing Out Loud

I think you're mistaken about an aerial that turns upright on the back of the Go825... are you sure you're not looking at the windscreen mount? (which is permanently-attached on those models)

It looks like this:

(Larger pic here)

The accessory RDS_TMC Traffic receiver for the Go825 is an "egg" built into a replacement power cable and it looks like this:

(More details here)

IF you don't re-subscribe to the LIVE services, then the RDS-TMC receiver should take over from it fine, but it is a different service - it has quite a lot less detail compared to LIVE 'HD' Traffic, but currently it covers a wider distance from you than HD does..

So the new version has built in power supply unlike the one I have on the 730 where it sits inline. The new verion works on the 730 so never know my luck it may work.

Can't find the picture I saw yesterday.
