Uploading contacts to Garmin

Before I try Garmin customer services, I wonder if anyone here can help ?
Whilst trying out my new installation of Street Pilot on my iPad, I was looking at a contact address on the map & inadvertently hit the "Upload to Garmin" option.
I guess this makes it available to anyone searching the Garmin database which I most certainly do not want to do. The question is, how do I delete it from their database ? Thanks in advance.

It depends on what they do with the data. If they just add it instantly without any sort of verification then yes it may be. I would hope though (perhaps a little naively!) that they would check submissions like this to make sure they are legitimate before using the data.

It could also be that Garmin simply pass all the submissions on to NAVTEQ (the map provider) to use to update their POI database.

The best bet would be to contact Garmin and see if they can help you out. http://www.garmin.com/uk/support/
