GPS Software for PC

Can anyone here suggest a source of software to run on a PC? I have a USB input NMEA receiver.

I would like to be able to get Australian and US maps to suit.

It depends what you want to do...

Try GPSU to read your tracks from your USB device.

For maps, look at Libremap for the US and Mapconnect for Oz - MAPC2MAPC will handle both of these and exchange GPX files with GPSU.
