Hi!

I have recently purchased a Navigon 40 Premium, based on good reviews from people that have one...hope it lives up to expectations.

I have a .gpx file with a few hundred POIs and saved GPS tracks that i need to load into it.

I have downloaded and installed Navigon Fresh, and also Route Converter (for Mac, so i can convert the file formats).

I've tried .asc and .gdb, putting them into random folders, and no joy. To be honest, i've no idea what i'm doing and google hasn't been helpful - any pointers would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Mike

Mod edit: title edited to correct file type. PaulB2005

.gdb files are Garmin's Mapsource format.

According to the manual I found here, "Tracks" need to be in Google Earth's .kml format and POI files can be in .csv format (like Garmin) too and you use NAVIGON Fresh to load them onto your system.

So you'll need to find a converter to get from .gdb to .kml (and maybe .csv for the POIs I'm not sure...).

POI Edit should do the job (http://www.poiedit.com/) and so will GPSBabel (http://www.gpsbabel.org/). Just import the .gdb file and export it in .kml. and see if that gives you everything you need once installed on the Navigon.
