Recently upgraded to v 1.3.8
When I used the app this morning, I didn't get the usual warning about my database being out of date - is it me?

Hmmmm. Happened to me too. Closed app, restarted and got the warning. Was going to see what happened next week.

Could have been a temporary loss of connectivity? I got the warning straight after I updated the app.

Is the app really being closed or just suspended? A few things dont work quite the way they used to since Apple has stopped us exiting the app as we used to.

Mine was fully closed. I always close it fully once the engine is off.

Solved the problem!

The warning volume had been set to zero after the update.

Same here. Opened app, waited until I should hear the warning and hit the volume up button. Volume was at zero for the app. Kept pressing until I heard "....lease update"

However the volume for the camera alerts has been fine.

On the subject of the warning, would it be possible or worthwhile having an option to have the database automatically update itself when it does the check on launch and then voice alert the user that the database has been updated to latest ??

This is something that we have plans for, but is not quite as simple as you might expect. For you that may be fine, but other users do not want automatic updates, then there are potential issues with connectivity, concurrent processing etc,etc,etc...
