Going to install TTN3 on a iPAQ2210 for a non-computer-literate friend.
The PDA has a 256MB SD card which is empty and could accommodate TTN3 software, GPS driver & GB map etc.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of installing on to the SD card rather than into main memory? |

Do not install TTN3 onto the SD card, install it into main memory. AFAIK the bug is still present that causes lock ups and all sorts of problems if you install TTN3 to SD or CF card. When prompted just install the maps to SD card (they won't fit in main memory). |

In my experience with earlier TT products (not TTN3) then they wouldn't work reliably if you installed the application to anything other than main memory. That is where I'd put the main app. and the driver, although the driver may work happily from the SD card. Maps obviously go on the SD card. _________________ Tim |

The other advantage of having TT3 in the main memory (aprt from the fact that it works) is that it will free up your card for other applications ie. GPassist and the ecellent UKPostCode software.
