Does anyone know how to copy messages from a POP3 folder on an iPAQ to Outlook on a PC?

Activesynch only syncs with the Activesynch mailbox on the iPAQ and not with POP3 account folders.

Hi.

Open Active Sync on your PC.
Make sure you are not connected as a guest.

Select 'Options' to see the list of programs to synchronise with.
Highlight 'Inbox' click 'Settings' you should see a list of all your folders in Pocket Outlook. You can check which folders to synchronise.

Thanks for the reply.

When I do as you suggested it only shows the Activesynch Pocket Outlook folders and not the Pocket Outlook POP3 account folders.

Are you sure there's no confusion here between POP3 and IMAP4 folders?

I can select any POP3 folders I like - but I can't select IMAP4 folders to synchronise via ActiveSync. IMAP4 folders appear under a separate 'root' in Outlook 2002.

Rather than synchronise IMAP4 folders, simply set them up in Inbox on the Pocket PC - IMAP4 keeps mail on the server anyway.

On my PDA Pocket Outlook 2003 there are two accounts. One is called ActiveSynch and created itself and cannot be deleted, the other is a POP3 account (using clara.net) I set up where I send and receive e-mail directly from the PDA over the internet via WLAN or BT, without the use of my PC.

I can synchronise my ActiveSynch account with Outlook on my PC, but this is only a copy of my PC Outlook folders and any messages have to be uploaded from the PDA to the PC to send them. It is basically an offline message editing facility.

I now have a lot of messages in the POP3 account folders on my PDA and want to transfer these to my PC. However I cannot copy these to the ActiveSynch account on the PDA or synchronise these PDA POP3 folders with my PC.
