Hi

I have just acquired a second PND for my wife to use at work.

I am a lifetime member; can I put the PGPSW speed camera database on to both devices without contravening the membership rules?

John

Rules are up to three devices within the same household so assuming your wife lives at home then you will be fine with what you are looking to do - Mike

I'm wondering if it would be worth two subscriptions to get mine to move out? Twisted Evil

(God help me if she ever reads that!)

I know we can only run on up to 3 devices so how do you delete an old one and connect to a new one

Hi Steveky

the way I did it when I sold my old TomTom (wish I had not!) was to connect to my PC and use Windows Explorer to remove all the PGPS Speed Camera enteries. It only took a couple of minutes, job done. Very Happy

steveky, If you start CamerAlert on your phone } Menu } About } and just under the CamerAlert version there shall be a long string of numbers and letters.

From the "Support" tab at the top of this page, raise a support ticket to the Staff, quote this "number" and your UserName requesting that you wish to un-link this device from your account so that you can connect another one. You should get an email back when completed.

Find the link to the support ticket and submit it - they'll sort it for you. Sorry, can't link it, I'm currently mobile and incompetent.

pillboxman Do you collect them (and if so, do you keep them in your garden) or do you live in one?

Well, kind of (collect that is) they are a bit big to keep in the garden, but I would love to have one.

Not sure if the rules allow me to 'plug' another web site but if you are bored some time check this out.

they really are a lot more interesting than they might seem, but then I am ever so slightly biased! Laughing

Lots now deliberately being used as homes for bat colonies, I hear.

Bat roosts are one of the many uses that pillboxes are put to.

I love bats, they absolutely do not deserve their bad reputation.

So how does this work exactly? I have two Android phones and a PNA running iGo I want to put the database on if I subscribe. How does the PNA device get linked? It is a single file download that is manually transferred to the device so I can't see how there is any way it could be limited to a single device.

Also on my Android phones I run iGo, and will run CameraAlert. Presumably I can put the iGo database on the phones and the PNA, as well as using CameraAlert, because it is still only three devices.
