|

Hi - I have a VW with a DNX520VBT installed.
No matter what I do, the alerts don't get uploaded with either WAV or MP3 alert files.
I use POILoader, the file names are right, I have changed the poi extension to gpi, still I just get the normal bong, then nothing.
Second thing is I want to load European alerts as well as UK.
Do I/can I load to poi files or do I need to use one or the other? I read up that the Euro warnings are obviously kph and so you can't just bundle the files together.
Many thanks |

I've no experience of the Kenwood units, so can't help personally, but there is a very interesting topic about getting the sound working on Kenwood units here. Please let us know if that helps.
Also, I'm sure there *is* a way to have the UK and Euro alerts co-existing on a Garmin (and presumably Kenwood) unit. I'm afraid I thought I had it bookmarked but cannot find it now, but from memory I think you have to upload the UK files first, then rename the resulting folder and then upload the Euro set in a second pass. Hopefully a Garmin expert will see this and give better instructions (or find the old post I'm looking for!) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
