Two more satellites have been added to China's Beido (Compass) GPS network with the successful launch earlier this morning.
The Long March 3B rocket contained two satellites, the first time China has orbited two Beidou satellites on one launch vehicle, and brings the total constellation to thirteen satellites.
Beidou currently provides a regional satellite navigation service to China but will expand to full world-wide coverage once the full fleet of 30 satellites is launched and in operation.

Yes and they've all been secretly chipped, so that once the Chinese satellites are operating, the whole of Europe and N America can be thrown into chaos by mangled data. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]
