Looking for new sat nav

I am looking for a new sat nav only had TomTom before but looking at snooper as we do a lot of touring in France towing a 5th wheel caravan and we have had a few nasty moments with tomtom any advice on how easy it is to use ? not to bothered about speed cameras as we normally keep under limit (use less fuel)

Strange you should choose the Snooper brand if you're not interested in speed camera warnings, as camera detectors, jammers and warning devices used to be their main product range!

I've had no experience of them myself, but I doubt if any "normal" satnav is going to avoid the roads you had trouble with in your caravan.

You may be better off looking for a dedicated "truck" system from one of the main manufacturers, as they have added mapping detail for narrow roads, width restrictions, low bridges etc.
