Start25 Insensitive Screen?

I've just bought a TomTom Start25 to replace my TomTom One and the touch screen seems very insensitive.

Selecting anything on screen requires a very firm push and hold before the device responds... is this normal or have I got a particularly reluctant device?

By comparison, my old One only requires the lightest of touches to make it respond and that's through a screen protector.

Any advice would be welcome. I can see me returning this unit... if it's a dodgy one, I'll get a replacement - if the screen performance is typical of the range, I'll stick with the One.

I have a similar "problem" with a 950 Go Live - not a recent event: it's always been the same. I await the responses!
