Spotted another new feature.

It would seem that whilst driving on a stretch of road monitored by average speed cameras, the speed reading now shown on the device is your average speed since passing the first camera and not your current speed.

Thought my device was just not correctly registering my speed to start with, but once clearing the last camera on the M25, the speed read out reverted to current speed.

That sounds good.

I've just updated my GO 540 to the new Navcore and I've not had the sim error 1008.

I take it this is because my Live subscription has expired and therefore nowt to communicate Question

I got a nice run to Llandudno tomorrow so gonna try this new update along with my new Garmin. Road test here we come Driving

As a side note. Any idea when the new v885 UK map postcode file will be released?

Anybody sussed out how to stop the window at the bottom left with the ^ arrow in it flashing when you go over the speed limit??

Is it not under safety prefs

One obvious answer is to keep to the speed limit! However, see Preferences page 7 - Safety Preferences - untick "Warn when driving faster than allowed"

That stops the warning but not sure that it stops the 'flashing' in the status bar. Will check this am.

I'm guessing that the arrowhead on the extreme left of the status bar indicates a planned journey. Could someone confirm? Thanks.

Just returned from a journey. Yes, my setting stops any flashing arrow, but does not stop the left hand speed section from flashing red when speed limit exceeded by about 3 to 4 mph.

Exactly what I get...

I'm not fussy, it's just an inconvenience when you drive at night to have something flashing at you!!!

Noticed from the blurb that it has been released for more devices in the US than in the UK I have the rider 2 and the update is not available for that in the UK

Presumably this feature only works if you are using TT camera warmings?

I have discovered over the last couple of days that not only can I not get HDT (error 1008) my RDS-TMC system is unable to lock onto a signal and give me Traffic that way. Before the update it worked very well, now nothing.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Updated yesterday and now I get error 1008. I didnt get asked if I wanted to share info but is that because the sim isn't working?
