Problem installing UKpostcode.

I am attempting to install the UK Postode ( http://www.digitools.co.uk/ukpostcode.php ) program on my Ipaq 3970, running Pocket Windows 2002 and TomTom 3.

I have downloade the file and unzipped it.

I then follow the instructions up to step three as seen in the link above.

I do not have Checkpoint installed.

I do not get a message on my Ipaq to say that it has successfuly registered the .ocx control

I have tried carrying on with the installation in case I missed the message but it wont work. Can anyone help please?

The installer for the OCX can be very troublesome. The easiest thing to do is install CheckPOInt 2.0.2 (available in the downloads area of this site) even if you're not going to use it - then things should work perfectly.

The reason for suggesting 2.0.2 in this case is that it's smaller than CheckPOInt 3.

I was having exactly the same problem. Installed UK Postcode the way Darren suggested and it worked perfectly.

Give it a try, should work fine for you.
