Tomtom 740 SD Card Map Update Problem

I have just downloaded the latest map of The UK and Central Europe from TT.
As the map was to big to go onto the 740's internal memory I had to buy a new micro sd card to download it on which was done with no problem.

The problem started when I tried to use the device, it started freezing up and then rebooting.
I then looked on the TT website for a solution and lo and behold I found one which says to delete a .cfg file.
Before I follow TT's advice I am sure I saw a post on this forum about this problem but I did a search but cannot find it.

Please can anyone help me as to where this post can be found, and also the easiest way to transfer my favorites to the new map location.

1. Use Explorer to copy the mapsettings.cfg file from the backed up map folder to the new specific (UK_and Central_Europe??) map on the unit.

2. If it still reboots, connect the unit to Home, plan a trip. Once the route is completed, disconnect from Home properly using the device disconnect icon.
